The Asian-Oceanian computing industry organization (ASOCIO) is an ICT federation organized by ICT associations representing 24 economies throughout the Asia Pacific. ASOCIO was established in 1984 with founding members from Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Australia and New Zealand. It is the most time-honored and active international ICT trade organization in Asia and Oceania. Its influence covers more than 10,000 ICT companies in the region. Today, ASOCIO member economies represents the region accounting for USD$350 billion in global ICT revenue. ASOCIO’s objective is to promote, encourage and foster relationships and trade among its members, and to develop the computing industry in the region.

Presently, ASOCIO comprises of 24 members from Australia, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Lao PDR, Macao, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, New Zealand, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Under the ASOCIO umbrella, member economies are provided with an opportunity to collaborate amongst the member economies for growth.

ASOCIO organizes different core activities annually such as Digital Summit, Multilateral Trade Visit (MTV), Smart City Summit and Plenary Meeting in different member economies as well as produce an inaugural research report and ASOCIO ICT Awards. The summit is known as one of the region’s high-powered ICT forums, providing platforms for government and industry to exchange information and develop a closer relationship and most importantly, identify new business opportunities.
